The “Power of Frames: Basic Photography Workshop,” organized by Freedom Combination Academy, offered participants a comprehensive introduction to photography. The workshop began with a brief history of photography and fundamental concepts, followed by an overview of camera types, lenses, and essential equipment usage.
Participants learned practical skills related to the exposure triangle (aperture, shutter speed, ISO), depth of field, and motion control. In the lighting section, both natural and artificial light sources, as well as light direction, intensity, and color, were explored.
Composition and visual storytelling were covered through the rule of thirds, golden ratio, perspective, line, and texture, emphasizing how to tell a story through images. The workshop also introduced various photography genres, including portrait, landscape, street, and documentary photography.
Finally, digital editing and post-production topics were presented, including basic software, color correction, sharpness and framing adjustments, and the differences between RAW and JPEG file formats. The workshop provided a practical and inspiring experience, enabling participants to develop both technical skills and visual storytelling abilities.
