The Kunsthalte (Art Stop) platform, which advocates that art is a universal language and comes together to convey their experiences through visual arts, opened its group exhibition with the theme "The Netherlands through the Eyes of a Refugee" at the Wolvega Kutuphane. It is expected that there will be great interest in this 4th presentation of the exhibition.
The opening of the exhibition started with an introduction and welcome speech. After a musical concert and delicious refreshments, the exhibited works were presented to the guests.
Canan Sarlar, one of the founders of the platform, thanked all her refugee friends who contributed to the exhibition, expressed that the Dutch were also very interested in the fact that their friends, who are still in the camps despite physical and financial difficulties, produced such beautiful works of art, and promised that their exhibitions will continue.
Fatma Ciraci is one of those whose work is on display at the exhibition. Ciraci talks about her work and explains how she transferred all her experiences, with their difficulties and troubles, to her painting.
The exhibition is accompanied by a booklet introducing the artworks and artists. You can see many works including oil paintings, digital paintings and photographs.
Open until September 16, you can visit the exhibition at Wolvega Bibliotheek.
